C.+A.R.E.S: Creating Positive Associations by Reducing Environmental Stress. This specialized program is for anyone struggling with a sensitive dog who wants to make their life and their dog's life better.
Living and loving a sensitive dog who struggles to navigate the world can be incredibly daunting, frustrating, and overwhelming. The stress that you can feel from something as routine as walking your dog or the heartbreak from watching your dog tremble with fear when a visitor is in your home - can leave you feeling helpless.
What if I told you it didn't have to always be that way?
The C.+A.R.E.S program is designed to help those struggling with these types of behaviors. I have formatted this program so you have the information, tools, guidance, and support you need to reach those goals you've been hoping for. You and your dog deserve it.
Learning how to help a dog who struggles with fear, anxiety, or stress, can be stressful for the humans involved. You will undoubtedly need support throughout your journey, the right kind of support. The C.+A.R.E.S program is a 6-month (or more) interactive program designed to give you full autonomy with when and where you and your dog are learning new skills while also providing support when and how you need it. Check out the C.+A.R.E.S program components below as well as the different enrollment options available within the program, the flexibility in the program allows you to choose what suits your and your dog's needs.
You have access to self-paced, online learning modules right from the start. Consider this your textbook, where you'll learn the foundation information you need for true success with your dog. Within each lesson, you'll have homework assignments to submit that we can review together. These modules are 100% self-paced, learn when it suits you, rewatch lessons as needed, and move onto the next step when you and your dog are ready. Having the ability to learn at your pace allows for more thorough comprehension, which will set you and your dog up for success.
To ensure you get the best start to the program, we will have a private Zoom consultation soon after you enroll. This 60-minute consult is meant to give you an immediate plan of action for reducing stress for you and your dog as quickly as possible, while also giving me a much more in-depth understanding of who your dog is, your daily routines together, and your ultimate goals/concerns. The goal of this session is for me to get to know you and for you to have a little more "breathing room" as you dive into the program.
Our Facebook group is completely private and confidential, available to only course participants. This is your daily lifeline to me and the place where you can give updates, ask questions, and post homework. The more you participate in the group, the more growth you can expect during your time in the program. Many people find the support from others in the group, who are going through similar experiences, really impactful on their journey.
This program includes two monthly group training sessions where the group will come together to practice skills presented in the learning modules, ask questions, and build confidence in a structured group setting. One session per month will be remote (via Zoom), while the other session will be in-person.
Private coaching sessions are held either via Zoom or in-person (location permitting). This is where you and I will work one-on-one. Each session is approximately 1-hour and is where we dig into the nitty gritty of what your unique journey looks like, where you're having trouble, what you want to prioritize, and what actionable steps you need to take next. We'll make sure you are progressing with your dog in the right direction.
